Summer is over...back to ebay for the fall.

Summer is over in my part of the world and the days are growing cooler. I spent most of my summer free time Digital Scrapbooking. I finished over 45 pages-whew.

Now that Fall is around the corner it's time to get back to making Miniature Teddy Bears for eBay. I had a nice break and I'm ready to start crocheting, sewing, and needlefelting bears. My first auction for Fall is another "Chibi Anime Crochet Miniature Bear. You can find little "Bizzy Bee" right here:

Creating a vintage, hand tinted look on a photo...

The Photo editing class focused on creating a vintage, hand tinted look on a photo using adjustment layers. I think it is a really cool trick to mute the colors of the original photo to set a different mood.

I've also been working on a Digital Freebie mini kit for the DSO color challenge. There are 2 color schemes this time, I chose the first one--->
I might have a Sneak peek preview tomorrow!

Happy July!

Time keeps flying by...I haven't made much time for digital freebies to give away. Maybe this month. DSO has 2 great color challenges going on and I hope I can do at least one.

In the meantime, I have been getting some digital scrapping done of my cat Boo Boo. This layout is done with Pam Lefors's newest kit "From My Heart". I love the beautiful swirly purple colors!

A new post...finally...

Today I finished an Anime Doll called "Raggedy Anniemay" She is 2 1/2" tall and is crocheted. You can find her on ebay . She took quite a few hours to make, but I'm happy with the way she turned out.

I haven't made any free digital kits lately...other things taking up most of my time. I hope to do the Color Challenge at DSO this month, so stay tuned.

A Design Freebie....

I really enjoy the blog "The Daily Digi". It has lots of wonderful ideas about Digital Scrapbooking and many other things as well. Today's post talks about a Design idea that will help your scrapbook layouts really pop and "draw the viewer in". I won't explain the principle, but you can check it out here. I made up a quick template that can be used to put the design principles into action on a 12 x 12 inch layout.

A new little Crochet Bear on ebay...

Wow-It has been about a year since I have created a miniature Teddy Bear and listed it on eBay. I've been making bears since 1996 and have made over 1000 bears! I took a year long break last year and explored the world of Digital Scrapbooking. I'm going to continue working on scrapping my photos and occasionally designing a digital kit for my Blog or for Etsy. And hopefully, I will continue to make a Mini Bear here and there. There just isn't enough time to create all the things that I want to do-but I'm going to try!

Have a great day and take a peek on ebay for more photos of my little bear.

What's in a name? Digital layout...

Have you visited The Daily Digi site yet? The site is only one month old, but already has proven to be a fun, encouraging place, and a wealth of information for Digital Scrappers. Recently Janet Phillips offered a free template and a challenge to scrap about the meaning of a name. I had been meaning to do this for along time, but hadn't got to it. But, today I took the challenge and finished the following layout.

Thanks to Janet Phillips for Template 2 from The Daily Digi, also thanks to Pineapple Plantation Designs for the kit "Vintage Valentine". And of course, thank you to my cat Boo Boo, who has made my world a happier place.

Another Quick page...

I have Quick page #2 for you today. I use many commercial use elements from talented designers to make up my digital kits. I love using frames from Pam Lefors, glitter from Flergs, and styles and actions from Atomic cupcake. Other times I like to try and design something from scratch. I'm still learning how to use my Photoshop elements program. While playing around I was able to design the large "hat pin" that is pinned to the 2 felt hearts. I like how it turned out!

Happy New Year and a finished Scrapbook page...

A quick post to start off the year. Since January 1, I've been following the blog "The Daily Digi". It is a wonderful one-stop site for all your Digital needs! It has great information, inspiration, and jump-starts for your digital creativeness. Yesterday, Janet Phillips offered a free template and the encouragement to scrap a page of "What you are lovin' right now". Here is my layout:

Right now, I am enjoying my finished December Daily 2008 photo journal, using all of my digital scrap goodies, my cat, Boo Boo, and finally the gorgeous winter weather in Washington State.
