Second Freebie Mini Digital Scrapbooking Kit...and what happened to my files?

Yesterday started out as a great relaxing day...I did a bunch of organizing on my computer, sorting out different files etc. Somewhere along the way I LOST my "Pictures" folder and could not find it anywhere. Somehow it had been deleted! I worked for hours talking with computer tech people who gave me some good suggestions, but it appears the files were gone for good. The only good thing was, that I had made a backed up copy of the folder a month and a half ago. So, I lost the last month and a half of pictures and my digital files that I had been working on :( My latest mini kit was among the lost files, so today I re-did the entire kit. The good news is that I finished it! I made this kit for the June Color Challenge at Digital Scrapbooking. org. Enjoy it, it took double the effort!

Thank you very much! Excellent job. :)

I'm sorry about the lost files. If Windows "disappeared" them, maybe they'll pop up somewhere. Fingers crossed!

A suggestion to maybe finding your lost picture files.....

Go to the file you backed up elsewhere and write down the exact file names of a couple of pictures that you know for sure were still in that folder and then do a search for the aforementioned files. If found then you'll know where the folder is if it's still there.

Thanks for the kit! I have a small suggestion: sometimes when I am busy cleaning and moving files I sometimes 'grab' another file by mistake. And I go for weeks thinking I lost it or deleted it. Someone told me to do a "search" on my files. Sure enough, it was tucked in another file i would never have looked in. Just a very POSITIVE thought to weigh against all of those precious pics you think you lost.
